]The Ninja is the polar opposite to the noble Samurai. Shadowy, stealthy, and more than a little dubious, the ninja makes his living by doing other people’s dirty work. The ninja relies on speed and surprise, as he is no match in martial prowess for any skilled fighter. Illusion, deception, and trickery are his primary weapons.[ Head Ninja: N/A

[Wallwalk]Using his speed and acrobatic prowess, the ninja learns to hold his feet to vertical surfaces, allowing him to climb anything by walking. He can move freely on the wall as if it were solid ground. Ceilings likewise pose no difficulty to the accomplished ninja. The ninja may choose to cease Wallwalking as a free action either at the end or at the beginning of his move.

[Shadowalk]Using his gift for trickery and deception, the ninja learns to vanish from the sight of others. Cloaked in night’s shadow, the ninja can move about completely undetected…unless the watchers happen to see his shadow moving about. Even then, the ninja is difficult to hit until he again becomes visible. To attack from Shadowalk, a Ninja must use Shadowstrike. The ninja may choose to cease Shadowalking as a free action either at the end or at the beginning of his move.

[Windwalk]A ninja relies on agility and quickness of foot. Utilizing this talent, a ninja can move across impossible terrain. A ninja using Windwalk can walk on water, leaving no ripples to trace his path. Further, he can cross a field without stirring a blade of grass. When walking in mud or soft earth, he leaves no trace. In addition, the ninja moves twice as fast as he normally would across the terrain. The ninja may use this ability to leave the battle for a turn.

[Shuriken Swarm]By launching a flurry of iron stars at an opponent, the ninja distracts him from his defense. This move does very little damage but lowers the Defense of an opponent significantly. It is usually followed by a high-level strike of some kind.
[Reduces enemy Defense by 25% for two turns]
[SP Cost: 50]

[Pressure Strike]As part of ninjitsu, a ninja must study the sensitive areas of the body and how best to exploit them. This technique inflicts no damage on the target, instead crippling it with one of three status effects: Paralysis, Confusion, or Sleep. The status effect lasts only one turn.
[Random status effect: Paralysis, Confusion, or Sleep]
[SP Cost: 100]

[Aimed Lunge]The ninja knows well how and where to inflict the most damage. This technique maximizes power and damage by channeling all the ninja’s strength into a powerful lunge. However, the straightforward nature of this attack makes it incredibly easy to parry or block. Ninjas most commonly use this technique after the enemy is immobilized and unable to parry.
[Treats Defense as 0; if enemy is not immobilized or unaware, attack fails]
[SP Cost: 120]

[Shadowstrike]This technique requires the ninja to be invisible, hidden from the rest of the world. From his hidden position, the ninja focuses his energy into a powerful strike, directed at the back of an opponent’s neck. It deals above average damage.
[SP Cost: 120]

[Scroll of the Night]Ninjas rely heavily on sacred scrolls to protect them during their missions. Upon using this technique, the ninja unfurls a scroll from his pouch and lays it before him. He runs his hands over the sacred kanji, releasing its power. By the ninja’s choice, the scroll can either deal massive darkness damage to a single target or protect the ninja from all attacks for one turn. The Scroll may only be used once per Quest/battle.
[SP Cost: 150]

[Assassination Strike]One of the ninja’s primary jobs includes the delicate art of assassination. This silent technique is born from the ninja’s ability to get close to any target and deal a devastating blow. By first resting motionless in Shadowalk for a minimum of three turns, the ninja then moves like lightning to the target, reaching around his neck and dealing a killing blow to the spine. The attack is undodgable, unblockable, and always results in death.
[SP Cost: 275 + 3 turns of Shadowalk]

[Dance of the Shinigami]This technique is secret, taught only to the most powerful of ninjas. It was developed to prevent further ninja deaths at the hands of the Samurai’s Zanmato attack. The ninja crouches, readying himself for the final strike. After focusing for several rounds, the ninja leaps forward in a lunge to the side of the target. As he passes the target, his sword slices faster than light through the opponent. Upon reaching the end of his leap, the ninja alters direction, slashing again through the other side of the target. Now in front of the target again, the ninja leaps up in a rising crescent attack, slicing the front of his opponent open. Upon reaching the peak of his jump, the ninja slices down in a powerful swing for the final attack. This attack is unblockable and is nearly always fatal.
