In The World, questing is the act of crawling through a dungeon by yourself or with a group in order to kill monsters and gain experience points and, at the end of the run, claim a big prize! Not every field within the world has a dungeon that is accessible, each dungeon different from the last in its makeup and variations; to find out if the field you're in has a dungeon, read the description!
As a player character, the best course of action would be posting in the BBS that you wish to go on a quest to rally party members. Once you find a sufficient amount of members that you wish to partake in this quest with, you fill a ticket out with one of the game masters to lead you forth on the quest to ensure that everything goes the way that it should within the quest.
Game masters can either partake in the quests themselves or watch over the quest to help guide it along without actually being there. Game masters have the ability to change quests up and make them more difficult if they so wish, controlling just how much damage players take from monsters and the like; they also can design traps to lay out during the crawl, or throw in items or booby-trapped chests if they want for the players to test their resolve with!
Being a game master or a player character in a quest are two very different things, but at the same time they're very much co-existent with one another! If you're a player character looking for some adventure, don't think twice about gathering a party and asking a game master to lead you all forth into the great depths of the unknown! If you're a game master, lead as many of these quests as you can; give them what they all are asking for!
!! When going on a quest, a GameMaster will recreate the field the quest takes place on within that server, and edit [QUEST] into the title of the thread. This does not stop members not involved in the quest to get involved however, as PK's have been known to try and ruin a characters effort by becoming an obstacle; however should that occur and you triumph, the GM will reward your party double the amount of EXP you'd normally get from a monster.
