Set in a corner of The World, bordered by water on all sides, is a small island in the shape of a perfect square. Within the square is what one would recognize as a park, street lamps dotting the entire field sporadically. There is a playground, a set of swings, everything you could ever imagine a kid would want when their mother or father takes them to the park. There is even a food stand that sells whatever it is you wish for, no money required either!
The water around the square is crystal clear as far as the eye can see, in the distance is a coast of some busy metropolitan area; while swimming around in the water is accessible, reaching the horizon in the distance is not. At night, there are very few places on the square that are in complete darkness. Perhaps there is some hidden evil within these dark and empty places?

That ringing sound. He knew it well. Arriving through the gate, he did, and the world suddenly blossomed around him quite vibrantly before settling with various tones of hues saturated in the space around him. It was so much more pleasant than the real world, or so Slade preferred to think. This was his escape to be who he couldn't be normally. His strength in his normal complacent weakness, if you will, was what grew in this atmosphere and spread like a wild fire. It was a bit rampant at times but it gave him the chance to be more brave than usual. To be able to walk up to complete strangers and engage in conversation. Slade's eyes focused around in the dark and instantly zeroed in on the glowing figure. How peculiar, he thought to say the least. What sort of avatar was that? Were they glowing because they were afraid of the dark or something? Or maybe they wanted to stand out? Either way, they provided the biggest attention grabber to him and he took it upon himself to draw nearer, if only to find some company. It seemed odd that this male was lingering all by himself here. The idea that perhaps he was just waiting for someone was one that Slade preferred to not entertain. They were going to meet, weren't they? A firm believer that coincidence held less weight than religion, he clicked his tongue softly and strolled to the back of the bench. Currently sporting his dark blue and black plug suit with his holsters for both twin blades in plain site hanging from his hips, he made his way to the seat of the other and placed his palms against the top bar of the bench. "You're quite bright, aren't you? Trying to bring attention to yourself?"

" ✖ AEON's body prepared for a launch — jump, to be precise, at the voice of an unknown figure behind him. Turning his head, he made out the form of a silver-brown haired individual with deep crimson optics. " I don't wish to garner attention, but people say I make a great lamp." Fellow PC's wanted to get him into a dungeon to test out the efficiency of those glowing tattoos. If one was close enough, he or she might get a chance to see a faint white glow in the distance. However, Ϯ AEON's tattoos proved ineffective; they were merely placed there as decoration - stand out from others, per say. " Other players want to test out the brightness of my tattoos in a dungeon, but seeing that your eyesight is remarkable to notice such a faint glow, that might change their minds." He was referring to those who already bugged him about this bothersome matter. The kickboxer uncrossed his legs, wringing both of his gloved hands together to loosen up the muscle and bone beneath the skin. " So.. what's your name?" ✖ AEON wasn't the type to introduce himself first (he's still kind of a socially awkward penguin), but for the sake of this stranger, he'll have to suck it up. " I'm ✖ AEON." No hand was brought up in hopes of the exchange of a hand shake. The crimson-eyed seemed pretty sociable, yes? He could never have the courage to talk to random strangers unless they were NPCs.[/ul][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Had Slade come off with a mocking tone of voice? He didn't necessarily hope not, but he silently acknowledged the fact that being known for being rude to complete strangers wasn't a reputation that he wanted to have. Even then, he didn't think someone like him would be capable of a reputation. He preferred to keep his personal information to himself and keep it that way. Slade pondered these thoughts before the avatar sitting upon the bench turned to draw their attention back toward him. The look in his eyes made it seem almost as if some guard had temporarily been sprung before calming itself. It was the slight dilation of his pupils whereas the rest of his body remained stationary. Was he anticipating some sort of strike? Now, that wouldn't be all that nice now would it? Slade took notice of his appearance. It was quite dull in comparison to his own. His hair was the exact opposite hue and his eyes were so deep-- no visible pupils that left Slade staring for an odd amount of time, trying to find something to make eye contact with before settling on the sight. "I don't wish to garner attention, but people say I make a great lamp." The emphasis he put on 'great' immediately rang as sarcasm in Slade's head. Still, he remained in his relaxed position, halfway bent over the front of the bench in the faint lighting. Just a small curious smile decorated his features. It was almost too subtle to be considered a smile. A Mona Lisa enigma better suited the facial fixture. His silence seemed to beg for filler however and the player he would soon come to know as ✖ AEON filled in the blank. Quite an interesting name since his own was so bland in comparison. "You can call me slade. if you want," he spoke with a soft and fluid cadence. His username was quite literally, "slade.", although it wasn't pronounced any differently than if it had been written or spelled "Slade" instead. Just his odd preference. "Just figured you seemed all lonely by yourself." Not like this was a problem. Slade was often spending time with himself. He just knew that it was uncharacteristic of other people. Some people, even feared it.

clothing he wore, but ✖ AEON chose not to care any much longer. “ Slade?” His mouth started to quiver — a habit he developed. Not that he was crying, but socializing with other people made him nervous; like any other person exactly like him. It seems that when he’s alone, a random outgoing Player appears out of nowhere demanding to commence a conversation with him. Why does it always have to be him? Yeah, those glowing tattoos. They attract outgoing Players who want to be his ‘travel buddy.’ Slade on the other hand doesn’t show any of these signs. Maybe he’ll be lucky today. ✖ AEON chuckled. “ Lonely? Solitude gives you an opportunity to reflect on yourself. It’s also an outlet away from nosy people.” No, no. He hoped Slade didn’t assume the last sentence was directed towards him. That will be bad — was the crimson-eyed a PK?[/ul][/blockquote][/blockquote]

“Slade?"Yes, Slade. The male's eyes flitted toward the other's mouth for a moment, silently documenting the movement. Just the slightest twitch that gave him the idea that the other was nervous possibly. Slade liked observing people. It made him feel as if he were on some sort of higher plane of existence or on some level of ground that they weren't. The idea of being in someone's mind and knowing things you ought not to know, while keeping your own information as hidden as possible was his forte. "Mhm."The fact that he had asked about the other being lonely seemed to arouse amusement of some sort, as he began to chuckle. ✖ AEON seemed to be of similar mind, though with that remark about wanting to stray away from nosy people, Slade couldn't help but wonder if he was being nosy. He should hope not, considering the only thing he had asked was regarding his glowing tattoos. The other had provided their name and continued the conversation like a trooper. Should he want to be completely left alone, he could act very put-offish with one word responses and no sort of eye contact. These things considered, it was Slade who figured he meant others apart from him, and thus he didn't pay it much mind. "I suppose so. Though it can be dangerous being out here by yourself," he murmured without changing much expression. His beady red irises seemed to scan the area a bit, almost cautiously before they pointed back at ✖ AEON with a smile. "But we seem to be alright."
