Rana B was quickly assaulted by the party; after all, how dare it attack their precious leader! It made an odd hissing noise as Phira's blades cut it, spilling what appeared to be a light-pink goop onto the ground from a shallow wound. It immediately hopped at her, lowering its head so that it could smash into the girl's torso, no doubt knocking the wind from her lung and sending her flying backward. Unfortunately, it did not have time to turn and attack any of the others in the party. Brand had already cast what appeared to be a weak fire spell, drawing the monster's attention to the wavemaster. It would have been devastating for this particular Rana, had there not been a copious amount of rain and a natural defense against fire from its water affinity. The tornado made it as far as Rana B, slightly singing the frog's flesh, but then it fizzled out completely before it could injure the other monsters. Rana A took this time to bound forward, opening its mouth and croaking loudly. A blue aura seemed to wrap around its body, but they would have little time to gasp as the horrors of its spell was unleashed. What would have been a simple Rue Rom spell was in fact amplified by the aquatic properties of the field; the water dropping from the sky turned into ice as a tornado formed, tearing its way through the party members. Each of them would be hurt in turn, and the attack would even serve the purpose of intercepting Kid's attack, protecting Rana B. The monsters were much less fortunate when it came to the shower of arrows, however. They screeched wildly as they were impaled, the heads penetrating their skin and the shafts sticking out of their flesh. They seemed angry, even more so than before. The plant took a hit from an arrow too, but it did not seem to do much external damage. It swayed a bit more, but other than that, remained quiet. As for Akihiko, he seemed stunned by the violence ensuing around him. His jaw dropped and he continued to hide at the back of the party, at least until he was hit with a whirlwind of ice. At that time, the little boy cried out in pain and covered his hands with his head, moisture accumulating in his eyes that had nothing to do with the rain. > BGM SET: THE WRETCHED AUTOMATIONS > ACTION: STACCATO (TARGET - RANA B)
The counterattack took her off-guard, she'd admit that, and her measly damage was rewarded by a sharp pain to her stomach. She was still down and too dizzy to see how the others reacted when suddenly she felt a strong wind attacking her. "Oh shit--!" Phira exclaimed, even before she can stop herself: after all, only one turn was done and more than half of her HP's gone!
She checked the entire battle history, and it only caused her more grief - the place has area effects? Oh God, why is it always the enemy AI that's smart!? Worse still was that oh-so-great Wavemaster, cowering in fear and even missing his turn! Damnit, she's starting to regret on being nice to the guy.
"Oh, fuck this! Hey, kitty Wavemaster!" She yelled angrily, pointing her black blade towards Akihiko, this time intentionally - gone was her cheery demeanor a few minutes ago. "I'm going in headfirst, so if you want that damn treasure, at least go and support us!"
She then rushed out again - once again towards Rana B. But this time, she ran faster. "STACCATO!!!!" Her voice almost broke out from the ferocity of her tone as she mercilessly slashed towards her opponent. However, the entire move was not as wild as her fury - rather, the entire sequence was a graceful and efficient blade dance, causing more wounds than one could count.

"Hey Phira! Please don't get angry at him... he's just a boy after all!" Elissa said to her teammate, trying to calm her down. She then thought to herself, 'Hm... those ugly frogs shot a spell at us, so I'll do the same!' "Rai Kruz!" She shouted. ((Yeah... I know, it sucks... but this is the only time I can do it... ;. )

I, Will Make You... Suffer.
It chilled him to his bone as it bit through his skin, the tornado of ice that took power more so from the rain; his allies pestering the frogs with minor attacks that barely cut through their porous flesh. The guide behind him, a surely accomplished wavemaster indeed; he sat in a pool of tears and rainwater while blood leaked out of the party he was leading. One of his own staggered at the sight and failed his attack, his first strike a misplaced blunder. Brand tasted the blood in his mouth as it passively began to boil. His heart started to beat faster and faster, the pace was unholy and unhealthy. A rapid staccato of throbs that echoed from vein to vein & artery to artery caused him to cease the pain he felt, the thoughts he processed, nothing but rage that compressed his rationality to a singularity existed now. The rushing magma under his skin deafened his ears, should he continue unsatiated he would singe his skin from the inside out and evaporate the very clouds themselves, he would lash out at the sun with this magnificent tempest of anger. He clenched his fingers till the joints whined in protest, the sockets grinding against bone and tendons attempting to cut through his epidermis.
He was being made a fool of by frogs, hopping rubber sacks of shit with no intelligence, his team at this point blurred into nonexistence, only he could exist in this world where his rage painted the landscape in a red sheen. He held steady to his staff and raised it. The wood crackled in electricity, a hurricane of storms might pop out at any second as he lavishly poured in more energy. The butt left the ground for just an instant before he immediately slammed it, the force raising protest in the nerves of his hand. He ran out of patience now, and in this spot he would unleash his deathblow, despite the cost it may bring to him later in forms of stamina. He boomed with his voice, a surge of magic whipping his hair and augmenting his voice to have its own echo. ” Lanceor!” (Lv.1 M: R: Thunder: Summon: SP: 50).
Thunder shattered the pavement in front of him, a beast humanoid in its construction wailed with the sound of an angry tempest. Zeus born it crackled with lightning, singing the ground every which way with its volatile thunder constructed body. Within its grip, a pendulum connected to a rod made a halberd, jade green and buzzing as electricity flowed through it from the body of his elemental bound beast. He stood slightly larger length and width wise than Brand, bound to protect and kill everything that he saw fit. It’s large structure stood betwixt him and the frogs as it kept one arm free to intercept something, anything that would dare harm its summoner. Its other raised this halberd, now a tool of adept bludgeoning in the air and drew a diagonal slash of thunderous strength towards the frogs, starting at Rana A and then traveling to Rana B. He planned the move of the charged colossus to strike the ground if the blade or rod did not hit Rana B so that an immediate flash of charged electricity would strike in a radius near it. The blade would be positioned in a way as to avoid the charging Phira.
Brand retreated backwards, the water sliding off his rubber lined leather shoes, to grow nearer to akihiko, sniveling brat in his mind. Come now, aren’t you christened a man by the fervor you hold for this woman. Do not be a useless brat, be strong, for this is your battle as well. He euphemized this speech from a kick to the child’s ribs to a pep talk. A real man does not cry. Surely you know Repth? Heal us so we may continue, do not be deadweight. He then shouted to the Long Arm Protect those who have had the misfortune of being dealt heavier blows than you. Their was corrosive venom in his voice, at this point he had failed his attack, taken a blow, and the lower constitution characters had taken the most blows.
He would settle by the boy... Resting while his minion did his work, he was getting low on his health.

Things were getting tough, at this point everyone in the group has taken damage. Kid hopped back a step and panted as his team members launched their attacks. [The World]'s enemy AI made these hostiles much more difficult.
He grunted again, prepared to attack again and then, a bolt of electricity bolted past him. He also has electric-based attack but who would use an electric attack in this downpour? He began to think that this wave master wasn't as intelligent as he originally thought.
He pushed the bridge of his glasses again and nodded at the Rana that dodged his primary attack. He attacked once again this time unleashing a special attack.
